We had a visit from our soon-to-be cleaning lady(you know, with all that cat furr and all). and her contact at the agency Just to get to know them a bit, and clarify what needs to be done and how. When they came in, our cats had heard the door bell of course and were very intrigued at who it might be. No sooner did they sit down or Prinny was almost hitching a ride in one of the ladies bags. Apparently, it was where her kitten preferred to play, and Prinny had caught her scent.
Clearly, this called for reinforcements. So my army of kittens devoted itself for the next half hour, under orders of the Prinny, to remarking everything and everyone. Pants and shoes were being thoroughly checked and remarked by rubbing against it while using the entire body, just to make sure, the bag itself was carefully checked out by the Prinny through several scent-checks, and then remarked accordingly, as far as that was possible. People were being screened for willingness to pet, and remarked while they were distracted by the petting.
Today my boyfriend decided to move the rug before vaccuuming and hit the jackpot...the cat jackpot that is. Hidden under the rug he found an entire stash of cat toys, long lost and forgotten. When he was done and put the rug back all the cats were going wild...everything was new and needed to be marked, played with, chased and raced over. All those old toys that weren't interesting back when?
Boy do they pack a punch when rediscovered! So when I got home, I was confronted with clean house (yay!) and a bunch of completely hyper kittens(not so sure what to think although it was cute and endearing).
You know how you want to take a warm bath after a hard day? Burning candles, nice music on the background, be alone with your thoughts, not worrying about the time and stuff?
Well, that stuff you can kiss goodbye when you have five cats. I had all five visisting me in there today. And this is not the first time. First you have Lulu checking up on what you are doing, closely followed by the Arwen who has a fascination with water and knows the bathroom all too well. And of course, there is no Arwen without a Falcor, where she goes, he goes and vice versa. And while the Lulu leaves you alone after a minute or so, the kittens do not.
