On this site you will find some of the answers to the problems that so many cat owners go crazy over, as well as my own experiences with my crazy bunch of furballs
Hope you have fun!It has been a busy couple of days. Had a double shift today (had to assist in the morning, and run the desk in the afternoon at the clinic) and yesterday i met up with a couple of people from Non-profit organisation Zwerfkat in Nood II. It is an organisation which takes in stray kittens to find them foster parents until they can find permanent owners.
I met up with them to see if I can help out. After helping five cats find a new home this summer, I so can see why they are doing what they are doing. Everything went pretty well, and once the Falcor goes to his new home, and my own cats have had their final vaccination, you will hopefully see some extra guest-stars on this website.
*yawn* We are kind of used to cats checking up on us in the morning, but this was a bit overkill. The Trini decided to come and paw me five times and the rest followed her example, unfortunately. I did get up with a good mood but my boyfriend who thought it was a brilliant plan to sleep in is slightly grumpy after being woken up about ten times in the last hour. You see, once one of us is awake the kittens start racing over the bed, so you get hopped on, raced over and generally used as a playground. On top of that Prinny was teasing the Lulu, which I had to intervene on rather loudly, and Falcor was hurting the Arwen during play-time, which accounted for a lot of growling and hissing on her part and yelling on my part.
Argghhh, Cats! The doctors at the clinic are nice enough to give me this bag of food which you get for free with every castration/sterilization, so I take it home, put down my work-bag and what happens? Well, Prinny decides she needs to dig the food out of my bag. I shush her away, making it very clear my work bag is off-limits. A while later, I decide to go out to the store and pick up some stuff while my boyfriend is in the shower and completely forget about the bag of food of course. And wouldn’t you know it, when I come back, my boyfriend informs me he had to put the bag behind lock and key, since they had dug it out of my work-bag, scratched a hole in the side and scattered half a bag across the living.
Wow, was this a night from hell…at least mostly for my boyfriend. Today is the day our little Falcor is getting his manhood removed, and for that, he cannot eat for 12 hours up to the operation. So, we decided to lock him and the little Arwen in with us in the bedroom (so he would have at least some distraction). Well, it backfired on us. Together, they were even worse, pawing at the door, meowing and generally causing a racket. I was mostly able to ignore it, but lets say I don’t have to pull this too often or I might have a boyfriend that voluntarily sleeps on the couch from now on( if he doesn’t move out all together, that is)
Alright, my first story is finally online. This is the story of how our Prinny found her way into our family. She was the first of many kittens to find a home here, so that does make her kind of special.
Well, here we are, finally. Welcome to Katje's website. We finally have managed to put the site up. The first thing you will find here is the introduction of the 'Stars' of our show: the cats and a little something about the author aswell, I might add. We will unveil their personalities, motives, and certain aspects of what makes them tick. And don't forget...this is only the beginning ;)
