Yes, I have finally gotten the opportunity to dazzle you with our new beauty! My boyfriend was so kind as to dig up the cable I needed for my camera, and voila:
Aint she gorgeous? A regular little wild cat with semi-long hair. Can you ask for anything else???
Meanwhile, this wild cat is quite happy indoors. She has faced her fear of the next room, and discovered that she loooovvveess hiding under the bed, as it is way bigger and safer and people have to dig up half the bed to get to you, yay! This knowledge is curtesy of Falkie of course who uses the same trick to get around being medicated.
She has also found out that Falkie does not hiss at her, so she is quite happy to share his territory with him. He doesn't mind much, unless she gets in his way and wayy too close. This morning she was mimicking everything he was doing, including jumping up on top of us while we were still asleep. Eventually, he had enough and gave her a spanking since she was stealing his attention, namely mine, as I was petting her instead of him (or at least that's how he interpreted it, I was actually petting them both in turn). Oops..did I forget to mention that she doesn't sleep in the small room since yesterday?
Well, you see, since a couple of days she has been allowed outdoors and she did go for it, after much hesitation. But with a lot of toys and play we convinced her to take a look around. First, I made sure I was there to supervise...only to discover that she was a lot more running around the room when I wasn't there (since I was going to the bathroom or something). So, the next day I left open the door and let her play under the bed and even in the room itself, while I was in the front. The day after that we found her sharing the bed, snoozing with Falkie, each on their half of the bed.
Yesterday, we tried again, as the days before, to dig her up from under the bed to put her in her room. I decided that this had to change and brought a fishing rod toy to get her from under there. We managed to walk her in on a happy note, tucked her in and said goodnight. But she overheard us playing with the Arwen and starting meowing softly. After the meowing was over, I decided to check on her. She was sitting impatiently at the door, and wanted to scoot by me. I finally let her out, after making her eat some stuff (I cant leave that food out since Arwen would steal it and get an allergic reaction again *sigh*). We then had a last bit of fun and went to bed with crazy kittens going all bonkers underneath our bed.
This morning, as I said, she followed the Falkie around which got her whacked, and cuddled. She purred a while while cuddling up with me and having the Falkie lying not far from her, and decided to play some more under the bed and annoying the Arwen who was checking up on us by then to see if breakfast was going to be served soon.
By now she also has discovered the second bedroom, but the kitchen and living are still too scary. That too will fade, I'm sure. Today she got terrorized by the cleaning lady again, so she is a bit shaken up, but I have no doubt our little wild cat will be at it again tonight. She seems to go mad, just like all cats at the witching hour: between 12 pm and 1 am. Not that that stops her from going mad at other times of the day though :P
For now she is still weary of people though she is slowly accepting my boyfriend now. Still, when we walk in she will hide under the bed, or if she is in the bed, she will keep a close eye on us and one wrong move scares her right back under the bed. Hopefully, that is the next thing to go ;)
